Annual leave payout at retirement and TSP

Q. Is it possible to send any of the payout for unused annual leave at retirement to TSP for tax savings?

A. Not under the current law. You must be actively employed in pay status and working full- or part-time to contribute.

Invest the money in a deductible IRA and roll the money into the TSP
