Financial advice

Q. I see a lot of people ask you financial advice and you let them know politely that they need to give you more information. What info do you need to make a recommendation?

A. Certain questions can only be answered, responsibly, with the benefit of considerable analysis and consideration. The information I need to do the job right can vary considerably, depending upon the nature of the question. In many cases, I need to have a clear picture of the person’s resources, constraints, goals and circumstances to provide investment advice.
