G Fund questions

Q. Where does one find the current G Fund rate? And does this fund compound daily? How much of an effect does that make?

A. Everything you need to know about the G Fund is available at www.tsp.gov behind the “Investment Funds” link. The G Fund interest rate calculation is based on the weighted average yield of all outstanding Treasury notes and bonds with four or more years to maturity. Interest is applied to G Fund shares daily, which maximizes the effective yield on the G Fund.
